• John Anderson Hixson (or Hixon) was born 27 August 1840 in Mitchell, Lawrence County, Indiana to Timothy Hixson and Elizabeth Walker.
  He married (first) Minerva A Atkinson 22 Nov 1860. Courthouse Source Marriage License Lawrence Co. and they had a daughter called Sara Jane Hixon (date unknown)
• William Henry Hixson (or Hixon) was born 17 September 1842 in Mitchell, Lawrence County, Indiana to Timothy Hixson and Elizabeth Walker.
  He was killed in the civil War, Battle of Lakes Cross Roads. This could be Parkers CrossRoads. Wounded 31 Dec 1862, he died 2 February 1863 at Tennessee Military Hospital #1, Jackson, TN. He never married.
  50 Ind. Inf. (F or S?) 21st Battery IND Light Artillery. Pension and military records #2911746, dated Apr 17 1882. His father received his pension. Burial still unknown. Some civil war site records list him as Hixon, Henry W.
