Mary Hickson, Hixson and Hixon

Does anyone have any information about a Mary Hixson who painted a picture of a Lion face on canvas?
The picture was found in a Maryland Yard Sale

I haven't yet prepared a list for other people named Mary which is a fairly common first name in this family
