Please may I emphasize that that names in these web pages do not represent all the names that I have in my records (I have over sixty thousand of which at least half are Hicksons). They are only the names of those at the head of each tree - the person at which I have got stuck! These are my brick walls. So if you don't see the person for whom you are looking, please do contact me.

• Anecdotal information is that four Hickson brothers took their families from the County Kerry area of Ireland to New Brunswick around 1800-1830. It is thought that two brothers families remained in New Brunswick, one went to New York and the fourth went to Australia.
• Mr Hickson was a coastal passenger to Port Phillip on the ship 'Adelaide' on 1st July 1839, from Hobart

• Ann Hickson died 8th October 1834 in Tasmania as an infant. I don't know who were her parents.

• Fred Hickson, the son of John Hickson and Margaret Newby of Yorkshire & London, is thought to have emgrated to Australia. He was the grandson of John Hickson and Elizabeth Ridgeway of Wincham, Cheshire
