Rev George Conway Hickson, "of Deerpark, Dingle" was probably born ca 1789-1795. He has a son, James, who married Hanora Herlahy.
James Hickson is shown as farming at Deerpark in 1850 (Griffith's valuation)
James Hickson leased a house and land from Rev Maurice Townsend in Graigue Townland, which is adjacent to Deerpark where two of his sons, Christopher & John Hickson, also leased land from the Rev Townsend. The property passed to their brother, Stephen Hickson, from 1864-1888 and after his death to James' son, Christopher, in whose family it still remains.
All the above needs further documentary confirmation.
