George Hickson, born before 1600 is recorded as living at Woodville, however no other detail is mentioned and I think that this must be a mistake. Should it be George Archibald Erskine Hickson (see below)? Earliest known records point to it being built much later and perhaps enlarged ca 1838.
Another record mentions Robert Conway Hickson, born 1831, as being of Fermoyle and Woodville, however there seems to be confusion between three people of the same name:
George Archibald Erskine Hickson was born 1854 in Fermoyle, the son of Robert Hickson and Jane O'Hara. He married Lina Harte in 1884. His seat is decribed as Fermoyle, but his residence as Woodville, Castleisland.
The house at Woodville which is about 10 miles East of Tralee, was still standing ca 1980.
