Dear Sir,
I beg to acknowledge receipt of yours of yesterday's date with encl. 5/-. I visited the Cemetery this morning and copied the inscription on the grave (which is in very good condition)
"Augustus Bergh
Born 16th of October 1778
Died 27th of July 1864."
"The family grave of Mr. Augustus Bergh"
I have searched the Registers of the Parish Church (Burials) and can find no entry of the burial of Mrs. Bergh. She was evidently not buried in the same Cemetery. Can you give me any more definite data, as to how she predeceased her husband.
